Why Queens beats every other NYC borough for pickup
- LIC, Maspeth, Astoria industrial waterfront are dense with commercial lots that carriers know and use as bases.
- Major boulevards (Northern, Queens, Woodhaven, Cross Bay) accommodate 75-ft carriers easily.
- LIE / BQE / Grand Central / Whitestone Bridge give fast cross-region access.
- Most Queens residential streets are wider than Brooklyn brownstone blocks.
Queens neighborhood pickup notes
"Carrier comes to you" — wide streets and driveways
- Forest Hills, Rego Park, Kew Gardens — many single-family houses with driveways.
- Bayside, Whitestone, Beechhurst, Douglaston — suburban-style. Easy access.
- Howard Beach, Ozone Park, South Ozone Park — wide streets, accessible.
- Jamaica Estates, Holliswood — residential, accessible.
- Middle Village, Glendale, Ridgewood — depends on the block, mostly OK.
"Sometimes meet-point" zones
Astoria (main avenues fine, side streets vary; meet at Astoria Park or near the BQE). Long Island City residential side. Sunnyside (depends on block). Jackson Heights, Elmhurst (Northern Blvd fine; residential streets vary). Flushing (often easier to meet near Citi Field). Corona (Northern fine; deeper residential variable).
The Queens advantage — staging lots

- Flushing Meadows / Citi Field area
- JFK area cargo lots (for southern Queens / Far Rockaway)
- Whitestone / Beechhurst near the bridge
Fort Lauderdale / Broward delivery
Fort Lauderdale proper
Downtown / Las Olas: mostly accessible, wide streets. Some high-rises require building management notice. Victoria Park, Coral Ridge, Wilton Manors: easy carrier access. Las Olas Isles / Rio Vista: some narrow waterway streets — depends on the island.
Hollywood / Dania Beach
Easy access. Hollywood Beach (A1A): some narrow streets near the boardwalk — meet at mainland if needed.
Pembroke Pines / Cooper City / Davie
Master-planned residential. Most HOAs allow transport at the gate. Some specific communities (Century Village, certain 55+ communities) require advance notice for trucks.
Weston
Mostly gated, master-planned community. Truck access at the main gates is standard; we get you the gate access procedure when we dispatch.
Coral Springs / Parkland / Coconut Creek
Suburban, easy access. Same gate rules as Weston.
Pompano / Lighthouse Point / Deerfield Beach
Mainland easy. Lighthouse Point waterway streets sometimes narrow — meet at mainland if needed.
Common Broward HOA situations
- Time-of-day: many restrict trucks to 8am–6pm. Some daytime-only on weekends.
- Sign-in at the gate: common. Have the carrier name + truck details when you sign in.
- 55+ communities sometimes require resident escort.

How the route runs
I-95 South the whole way. Typical 5-day breakdown: Day 1 Queens pickup → Days 2–3 I-95 through NJ, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA → Day 4 into Jacksonville → Day 5 Broward deliveries.
Personal items: Most carriers allow up to ~100 lbs of personal items in the trunk at the driver's discretion. Items inside the vehicle are NOT covered by the carrier's cargo insurance — only the vehicle itself is. Don't ship anything you can't replace.
