Brooklyn pickup by zone — the realistic breakdown
Brooklyn is the most varied borough for carrier access. Here's the truth by neighborhood cluster:
"Carrier comes to you" zones
Driveways, wide streets, or commercial/industrial access:
- Marine Park, Mill Basin, Bergen Beach, Gerritsen Beach — semi-suburban, driveways common.
- Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst — many one-family houses with driveways.
- Sheepshead Bay, Manhattan Beach — generally accessible.
- Industry City / Sunset Park / Red Hook waterfront — commercial lots, wide streets.
- Greenpoint, Williamsburg waterfront — accessible if you're on Kent, Wythe, or a wide cross-avenue.
"Meet-point likely" zones
Tight streets, parking restrictions, alternate-side enforcement:
- Park Slope — beautiful brownstone blocks, mostly too narrow for a 10-car carrier. Meet at Prospect Park West, 4th Ave, or LIC.
- Carroll Gardens / Cobble Hill / Boerum Hill — narrow brownstone blocks. Meet at Atlantic Ave / BQE adjacent lots.
- DUMBO — meet near the BQE access points or LIC.
- Crown Heights, Bed-Stuy, Bushwick — depends on the block.
- Williamsburg interior — Bedford Ave is too tight; cross-streets vary.
Orlando delivery — easier than you'd expect
Orlando metro
Downtown Orlando / Thornton Park / College Park: generally accessible. Lake Nona — newer master-planned, easy. Doctor Phillips / Bay Hill / Windermere — gated communities; most allow trucks at the gate. Winter Park / Maitland / Altamonte Springs — easy. East Orlando / Avalon Park / Waterford Lakes — easy.
Theme park area / I-Drive corridor
International Drive corridor, Hunter's Creek, Celebration: carriers know the area well. Reunion / ChampionsGate / Davenport — vacation home territory. Easy delivery, sometimes lockboxes if you're not present.
Lake Mary / Heathrow / Sanford
Corporate relocation country. Most Orlando-area deliveries land here for tech / finance transplants from the Northeast. Easy carrier access.
The Villages
45 min northwest of Orlando. Massive 55+ community spanning multiple counties. Carriers know it well. Most addresses are villa-style with carport — easy delivery. Carrier cannot enter the golf-cart paths (obviously).

Estimates only. Final price depends on vehicle, season, pickup/delivery accessibility, and current carrier supply on the lane.
How the route runs
I-95 South to Jacksonville, then I-95 or FL Turnpike to Orlando. Typical 5-day breakdown: Day 1 Brooklyn pickup → Days 2–3 I-95 through MD/VA/NC/SC/GA → Day 4 into Jacksonville → Day 5 Orlando-area deliveries.
Personal items: Most carriers allow up to ~100 lbs of personal items in the trunk at the driver's discretion. Items inside the vehicle are NOT covered by the carrier's cargo insurance — only the vehicle itself is. Don't ship anything you can't replace.
